Puppy Reservation Policy

Before placing a reservation, all potential puppy families must first complete a phone interview with me. This is required before any reservation or waitlist fee is accepted.

These interviews are simply a chance for us to get to know one another a little better. I’ll ask a few questions about your home, lifestyle, experience with dogs, and what you’re hoping for in your new puppy. It also gives me the opportunity to tell you more about our program, our dogs, available or upcoming litters, how our puppies are raised, and our policies. Most importantly, it helps us both make sure that Ivy Meadows is the right fit for you and that I feel comfortable placing one of my puppies in your home.

Scheduling an interview is easy. You can reach out by text to set up a time that works for both of us, or you are welcome to give me a quick phone call. If I’m available, we may even be able to complete the interview right then; otherwise, we can schedule a time to chat.

Once the phone interview has been completed and you have been approved, you may then move forward with placing your reservation and joining our waitlist.

•    To be placed on our puppy waitlist, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required.

•    This deposit secures your spot in the selection order, but does not reserve a specific puppy.

•    Waitlist deposits are applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.

•    Puppy selections will begin when the litter is approximately 6 weeks old, once individual personalities and temperaments have started to show.

•    Selections are made in the order that waitlist deposits were received.

•    We will schedule appointments (in-person or virtual) for families to view the puppies and make their choice at that time.

•    We may offer guidance to help match puppies to families based on temperament and lifestyle to ensure the best fit.

•    Once you have selected your puppy at 6 weeks, a non-refundable $500 deposit is required to hold that specific puppy until go-home day.

•    This amount is also applied toward the final purchase price.

•    Puppies will not be held without a selection deposit.
